Helveticahaus Heads Downtown

We’re not really sure how it all started, but the fact remains that we made a music video, and it’s rad. Shot over a weekend in the beautiful city that we call home, Helveticahaus hit the streets, spreading style and dance moves throughout downtown Spokane. And you thought that Macklemore video was cool. The video features all 14 Hh Tts, original music by Kevin Graham, production wizardry by Mojo Lab, animation awesomeness by Digital Itch, and some groovy dance moves (Tanzbewegungen) from Haley Anderson. In short, it’s got it all. Just go watch it already.Want the latest Hh news delivered [...]

Vignelli Inspired, Student Designed

Our region’s colleges turn out some pretty great talent – I mean, look at us – which is why we felt reasonably confident when we turned to SFCC’s first-year graphic design students and asked them to take a whack at designing a Helveticahaus Tt. Unlike the real HH Train – which operated in Brooklyn for only [...]

Celebrate with Helvetica

In early August, 1291, representatives from three alpine cantons met in a mountain meadow on Lake Lucerne to take an oath of allegiance, an act that later generations would look back on as the founding of Switzerland. Swiss National Day – the celebration of that meeting in the meadow so many years ago – is traditionally celebrated on August 1, but we’re getting started a little early. Now through August 9, we’re having a sale! In celebration of the day that brought us Switzerland, all of our twenty-five dollar Tts are only $19.57 (which is, of course, the birth year [...]

Artist Series No. 1 Tt by Don Baker

Helveticahaus was founded by designers, for designers, and in support of designers. In addition to empowering design students through scholarships, we also like to showcase the renowned talent working throughout our region. The result is our Artist Tt Series, a semi-annual rotation of the best talent the Northwest has to offer. Our first featured artist, Don Baker, has done work for some of the world’s largest brands, from Microsoft to Starbucks to Coca-Cola. His Tt design is Helvetica as you’ve never seen it before: a fresh, playful interpretation of the very definition of Modernism. We’re honored to feature Don’s work, [...]

Neue From Helveticahaus

Here at Helveticahaus, we believe that Helvetica isn’t just a font; it’s a lifestyle. In a perfect world, we see our favorite font integrated into every aspect of our lives. But since we don’t know how to engineer Helvetica cars or grow Helvetica food, we’ve decided to start small. Introducing Helveticahaus Coasters: condensation-catchers for the cool, sophisticated beverage connoisseur. Letterpress-printed on 220-lb. pure cotton paper, they’re sturdy enough to protect your surfaces and stylish enough to impress your friends. We don’t know how to make Helvetica beer – yet – but we’re pretty sure we’ve made the next best thing. [...]
