2024-25 scholarship application

due 11:59 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2024

We’re now accepting applications for the annual Helveticahaus Scholarship.

  • There’s nothing between you and a $1,000 scholarship but these five easy steps. And, well…the judgment of our selection committee. But since this form will time out after a brief period of inactivity, do yourself a favor and READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE APPLICATION FORM BEFORE BEGINNING. You’ll see why when you get to number three.
  • 1) First, we're gonna need some contact info.

  • 2) Now tell us a little bit about yourself.

  • 3) Choose one of the three projects listed below and, in a few words, offer a critique.

  • logo: Jordan Fretz Design
  • exhibit: House Industries
  • rebrand and packaging: Sid Lee
  • Things to consider in your response: What do you think? Did the designer succeed, and is the project itself successful? Why or why not? What, if anything, would you have done differently? In what ways do you identify with the designer? Can you see a process behind the final product? Does it inspire or intimidate you?
  • It took Lincoln only 272 words to write the Gettysburg Address, so if it takes you more than 200 to talk about design, you’re doing it wrong. (That said, we’re hoping for a minimum of 100.)
  • And be sure to add your name to the document file name before you upload so we know which is yours.
  • Accepted file types: pdf, Max. file size: 2 MB.
  • 4) We'll also need to see your work, naturally.

  • Don't forget to either upload a PDF of your portfolio or include a link to your website. 'Cause we like looking at pretty things too.
  • Accepted file types: pdf, Max. file size: 20 MB.
  • 5) This one's easy: Either submit or save.

  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
