The Helveticahaus Scholarship is back, and all that stands between you and that $1,000 boost are these five easy steps. But since this form will time out after a brief period of inactivity, do yourself a favor and READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE APPLICATION FORM BEFORE BEGINNING. You’ll see why when you get to number three.

1) First, we’re gonna need contact info.

name*
address*

2) Now take us inside your design mind.

3) Evaluate one of the projects listed below in a document file with your name on it, then upload as a PDF (2 MB max).

Adobe Posters: CSA Design
AIGA Design Camp: CSA Design
Typographic Symposium: David Carson
Vignelli: Michael Bierut
Bob Dylan: Milton Glaser
Things to consider in your breakdown: Why did you select this piece? Conceptually, what makes it visually interesting? Can you describe what makes it successful, or where you see opportunities to go a different way?
It took Lincoln only 272 words to write the Gettysburg Address, so if this takes you more than 200, you’re doing it wrong. Kidding! And please don’t go too far in the other direction. We’re hoping for at least 100 words of geeked-out reflection.
And be sure to add your name to the document file name before you upload so we know which is yours.
Accepted file types: pdf, Max. file size: 2 MB.

4) Now for the best part – show us your work!

Either upload a PDF (20 MB max) of your portfolio or include a link to your website.
Accepted file types: pdf, Max. file size: 20 MB.

5) This one’s easy: Submit or save.
